First Sensiblue S4 installed at a Ugandan school. Pre-install test found E. coli; one student had been hospitalized.

Access to safe water shouldn’t be a barrier to learning. This month, we completed the first pilot installation of Sensiblueat SSAKU School in Uganda. In partnership with TGUP and NCDP, and made possible by a donor from the United States, the project combines our inline disinfection technology with tailored pre-filtration to handle local water conditions. Alongside the hardware, we supplied ten years’ worth of consumables and basic maintenance guidance so the system can keep delivering day after day.
Why this matters: schools in rural and peri-urban areas often rely on sources that can be unsafe to drink. By treating water at the point it’s actually used, Sensiblue helps schools avoid interruptions, reduce illness risk, and keep students in class. At SSAKU, the aim is simple—reliable, safe drinking water on campus for every student and teacher.
What we installed
- Sensiblue purifier (inline salt-electrolysis)
- Pre-filtration matched to source water quality
- Ten-year supply pack (filters and salt)
- Basic training for on-site caretakers
What’s next
Together with TGUP and the same donor, we’re preparing six additional school installations in Kenya and Uganda. We’re also structuring a similar program in Rwanda, where we already have a local NGO partner and are seeking a donor to fund the first sites.
